How Powerful does my Projector need to be?
Of course most visitors to our site won't have much of an idea as to how powerful the projector will need to be. Projector power is rated in (ANSI) Lumens and range from portable 2500 lumen projectors up to very powerful 15000 lumen projectorsAnyway. Let's try to give you an idea of how powerful your projector will need to be for what you are using it for. Please note that these are listed in order of popularity. 7000 Lumens
Projector: Sanyo XP200
HD Resolutions: 720p, 1080i
Our 7000 Lumen High Definition Projectors are our most popular available for hire. The Sanyo XP200 is the most versatile powerful HD Projector on the market
Examples of use: Indoors: Any screen size up to 16ftx 9ft (294 x 508cm) though recommended with a 14x10 (320 x 427cm). High powered logo Projection. Outdoors: (During Darkness) Building Projections up to 10m wide. Screens up to 16x9ft
Example below was one of our 7000 lumen projectors rear projecting onto a 10x7.5 ft(229 x 305cm) fastfold deluxe screen. The projector was overkill for a screen of that size but as some daylight would be coming through the client requested a more powerful projector. Normally for this screen a 5000 lumen would surfice

Recommended screen sizes: 10x7.5(229 x 305cm) up to 12x9(274 x 366cm)
The example below was a HD 5000 lumen rear projection onto a 12x9ft fastfold deluxe screen for the midnight Mass at Westminster Cathedral Hall using a short throw zoom lens. Live coverage of the Mass was broadcast into the hall for the overspill of people visiting the Cathedral in London

Screen sizes: 14x10.5, 16x9 ft and upwards. Outdoors up to 8m
Examples of use: Professional presentations and vivid outdoor night time projections. If you organise a professional event look no further. Example below was the 10000 lumen projector projecting onto a 14x10.5 fastfold deluxe screen at the Mermaid Theatre in London

Do we only Hire Projectors?
Projector Hire is our main focus but we offer just about every Audio Visual Hire service that you could need for your event including Plasma Screens, P.A Sound systems, Lighting and even a DJ for your event- P.A Sound System Hire in London
We want to make your event special and have the experience to advise on the setup that will blow your audience away and leave them wondering how it was possible. We can project onto custom made surfaces and materials and have the projectors hidden. For a more interactive setup we could make the Projector be triggered via IR so when someone approaches the projection is set off(very good for halloween events).
If you are a VJ in need of Projector Hire in London or the UK then we would be more than happy to give advice as to the best setup. Projectors are the ideal choice for VJ's in nightclubs and bars as they give the biggest bang for the buck. As these enviroments tend to be on the darker side you don't always need the brightest projector in the world to get the desired results. For ease of installation we have introduced a new range of wireless Projectors to our Hire stock which certainly cuts down installation time and can save a lot of the hassle that goes along with installing cabling at venues. We have both VGA and composite video wireless solutions available
With regards to mounting projectors on hire there are many options available. When ceiling mounting projectors we would normally use cradles as they fully support the projector and are also fully adjustable. Cradles can be hung from truss frames, metal/wooden beams, attached to bars or for more permanent installations screwed into ceilings. We use metal wire and chains to support projectors when needed though on most truss frames and beams this method is usually not neccessary. Projector stands are also available to hire for more straight forward setups. We stock simple telescopic stands that can be easily adjusted and can also have side shelves attached for laptops and DVD players. This makes for easy wiring to the projector with short cables and no mess. Larger projectors can also be set on stands and for this we use twin poled plasma style stands with short poles
One of the most important variables of projector hire is lighting. The lighting conditions at the venue will always dictate the power of the projector that we would recommend for hire
